Morocco pavilion – Epcot World Showcase – Disney World

In 1984, Morocco unveiled the first village in Africa and the Middle East within Disney World in Orlando. This village takes visitors on an enchanting journey through Moroccan craftsmanship, unparalleled architecture, and an immersive cultural experience.

At the entrance of the Moroccan pavilion stands a replica of Marrakech’s Koutoubia minaret. This finely sculpted tower reflects the pride of local artisans who contributed to the pavilion’s construction. The exceptional quality is evident in the geometric patterns and mosaic art found throughout the Cherifian Kingdom.

At the entrance to the Medina, a replica of Bab Boujouloud gate welcomes visitors amidst a bustling market. The New Town houses the Royal Gallery and the Moroccan National Tourism Office, where visitors can view a three-screen slideshow on Moroccan lifestyles and landscapes.

The courtyard, filled with flowers and surrounded by citrus, olive, date palm, and banana trees, features a fountain inspired by Fes’ Nejjarine Fountain. Here, visitors can listen to Moroccan musicians or marvel at the incredible acrobatics of the Houzali troupe.

The Gallery of Arts and History showcases ever-evolving exhibitions on Moroccan arts, objects, and costumes. Ancient architecture is highlighted in the House of Fes.

In the Moroccan village in Orlando, Moroccan cuisine takes center stage, with several restaurants offering traditional dishes such as couscous, tagines, pastilla, rfissa, seffa, atay, and more. Among these establishments are the Tangierine Café, Restaurant Marrakech, and Moorish Café.

In this bustling market, you’ll find traditional clothing and shoes, jewelry, fez hats, mosaic fountains, handwoven rugs, and many other treasures.
